As long as this tutorial is closely followed, nothing should go wrong.

Patch(es) listed in this tutorial is/are NOT made by any of us. However, the patch(es) is/are provided 'AS IS', and no warranties are given. Use at your own risk.

First things first, get the required files:

Let's get down to the patching.

First, you got to know if you have patched in the Heap Shift patch.
This patch provides more stability for your phone.
If you haven't done so, please do that as your first priority.

Then Patch in SysGFX Patch.
Here's a quick description on how to use the patch if you don't understand what the comments in the patch header is saying:
( You do not have to read it as I'll be explaining what it means below. =) )

;W580 SW-R8BE001
;Phone Graphics Replacement (aka SysGFX)
;Ver 1.1
;Put GFX.ini file in Phone Memory's /other/ini/
;In GFX.ini, input the location your SysGFXs
;example:
;[GFX_Folder]: /tpa/user/other/IMG/
;or
;[GFX_Folder]: /card/other/SysGFX/
;Don't forget to press Enter after that line
;Here you can put icons XXXX.PNG (XXXX.GIF, XXXX.JPG)
;where XXXX is the hex value of to-be-replaced icon
;Reboot phone after putting new SysGFXs

Now, you need to create the GFX.ini, as stated in the patch description.

There are two methods: Create it manually or use the pre-made one which I made.

Manual:

Make a GFX.ini with ANSI encoding and put it in the folder 'ini' in the 'other' folder of your phone memory. (tpa/user/other/ini)

Inside the GFX.ini file, there should be these two lines:

[GFX_Folder]: /card/other/SysGFX/

MAKE SURE there is a NEW LINE after the first line. The second line should be left blank.

Short explanation:

/card/other/SysGFX/

Is basically the location of where your SysGFX are placed. Another example if you want to store it in your phone instead will be

[GFX_Folder]: /tpa/user/other/IMG/

 ------------------------------------

Pre-made by KrX:

Download the ini here, or if you want it with the folder structure in place, here.

The pre-made GFX.ini has the contents:

[GFX_Folder]: /card/other/SysGFX/

After you're done with the patching & the placing of GFX.ini, we got to get down to getting the SysGFXs in!

Create folder in your 'SysGFX' in the 'other' folder of your memory card. (card/other/SysGFX)
(Unless you specified a different filepath in GFX.ini. If so, make the respective folder)

In that folder, copy in your .png icons with their filenames being the HEX-value of the icon you want to replace.
(This HEX-value can be found using db2020 Image Tool and your .raw main file.)

If you got the SysGFXs from SliderWithStyle.com's SysGFXs repository, then the HEX-values are already in place.

Enjoy! :D
