Note: This tutorial is only recommended if you are too familiar with the db2010/db2000 type of stuff, and just moved onto a db2020 phone. This uses the old Sony Ericsson Flash Plugin (SEFP). If you would like to be "updated", use JDFlasher and Far Manager.

What You Need

• FAR Manager
• SEFP 10.0.44
• SEFP 10.0.51
• DB2012 And DB2020 Boot Scripts (SEFP)
• XML Source Generator
• USB Flash Driver
  
  *You can download the whole pack here
  *Install the USB Flash Driver.exe first before installing FAR.

Before following this guide please have a full battery 90-100% and have usb flash drivers installed.

Software Installation Guide

1. Install FAR Manager
2. Go to C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins
3. Extract SEFP 10.0.44 there
4. Extract SEFP 10.0.51 in exactly the same place as 10.0.44
5. Enter the SEFP folder and run sefp0.10.0.51patch.exe
6. Extract the file SEFP.zip to C:\Program Files\Far\Plugins
7. Done

FAR Manager Guide

1. Run FAR Manager and press F11
2. Select SEFP 0.10.51 FAR
3. Select DCU-60 under device,921600 under speed,then your phone e.g. DB2020 CID52 (u can use xs++ to find this out and remember to use erom CID)
4. Click 'Enter The Matrix'
5. Remove and reinsert the battery and connect to the cable while holding down C
6. If it is detected,it will bring you to the main menu
7. Click on FS and wait for a few minutes for the things to load
8. It will then show the phone FS menu
9. Browse around by clicking the folders (... above the folders is back), find the files u need to extract out and make a note of the path
10. Use the right side of FAR to browse to where u want to copy the files to. Select the file u want to copy and press F5 to copy to the place you selected.It will then write a 0byte files to the directory you chosen.
11. Disconnect from FAR safely by clicking back (..) until it ask you to shutdown the CSFSloader. Click yes and unplug the cable from the phone.
12. Take out the battery and reinsert it back
13. Run the xml source generator and copy tpa/user/other (For W580i only) in the Enter destination box
14. Click "select files that will be copied to the phone" and select all the 0 byte files that u extracted off with FAR
15. Type in the path of the files that you have noted just now in the "Enter copy source" box (*To copy stuff from the ifs folder you must use capital letter)
16. Click on "Generate XML source" and save the file as "customize_upgrade.xml" (*Save it in a place easy to find)
17. Now connect the phone to FAR and do the same thing as just now until you reach the phone FS menu
18. Go to tpa/preset/custom. On the right side of FAR, locate the "customize_upgrade.xml" file you save just now
19. Highlight the file, click it and press F5 to copy it to the phone.
20. "customize_upgrade.xml" Should now be inside tpa/preset/custom on your phone
21. Disconnect from FAR safely by clicking back (..) until it ask you to shutdown the CSFSloader. Click yes and unplug the cable from the phone.
22. Take out the battery and reinsert it back
23. Turn on your phone and it will ask you to wait for a few minutes
24. The files should now be extracted to the others folder in the file manager
25. Done
